What is it?
The future is yours – it’s time to break the rules!
The FYP brings together 35 young industry professionals from a diverse array of backgrounds.
Working together with our new moderators from ENITED Business Events, we’re going to bring participants to the centre of the education programme, so young event professionals get to decide what happens next.
Participants will complete the FYP with a wealth of knowledge, a stronger network within the meetings industry, and enhanced professional skills.
Find out more by reading the concept.

When is it?
It starts with a mandatory evening welcome reception on Saturday at 18:00 and ends on Tuesday afternoon prior to IBTM World and ends on the show floor.

Where is it?
The FYP takes place in Barcelona. The venue is the Valkiria Hub Space.

Who attends?
Delegates are comprised of ICCA members (ranging from convention bureaus, venues, PCO, transport companies and meetings support) and associations, and are within the specified target group of less than 30 years of age and with 1 to 3 years of experience.

What is unique about the FYP?
We ensure that we select candidates from a wide range of demographics to be able to give the FYP a full spectrum of opinion and experiences. The programme encourages delegates to utilise their new network within the meetings industry by solidifying the client/supplier relationship and by taking advantage of the wealth of knowledge delivered by some of the most established meetings industry practitioners.

Why should you apply?
  • Gain a better overview of the meetings industry and its stakeholders.
  • Leave with a more complete understanding of the different sectors in the industry and their functions.
  • Strengthen your connections and networks with peers and industry leaders from across the globe.
  • Attain experience of working in multi-cultural and buyer-supplier teams.
  • Secure the opportunity to network and have discussions with some of the greatest meetings industry practitioners.

2017 participant Noa Ragol shared her experience in the February 2018 Kenes newsletter. Read it here.
